The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining all machinery and equipment in working order while maintaining environmental and safety compliance. This includes mechanical and electrical components.
Responsibilities:
Ensure all environmental and safety procedures are followed and report all unsafe or non-compliant activities. Maintain mechanical equipment to remain operational including chemical transfer pumps, vacuum pumps, valves, conveyors, hydraulic units, burners, mobile equipment, etc. Maintain electrical equipment to remain operational including breaker boxes, power supplies, sensors, and lighting, etc. Complete work orders for issues with equipment. Prompt response to operational downtime. Maintain and follow preventative maintenance programs with accurate record keeping. Install new equipment including running new electrical wire and/or piping as directed. Working with motors, pumps, bearings, and chains. Keep the shop area clean and compliant with all safety programs. Troubleshoot operational problems and work with engineers as directed. Proactively detect, diagnose and repair potential issues using PM and inspection tools. Attend all training sessions and safety meetings. Computer duties as necessary. Other duties as directed.
Requirements:
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required. Experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance required (2 years minimum) Ability to perform cutting, grinding and welding activities. Willingness to learn the treating plant operation
