Are you a seasoned, versatile industrial maintenance technician with strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills, rigging confidence, and pride in keeping high-speed production lines running at peak performance? American Workforce Group has partnered with a premier low-density film and protective flexible packaging manufacturer in Pierce County, WA to hire a full-time Industrial Maintenance Technician . In this active, high-responsibility role, you will diagnose, repair, overhaul, and maintain mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical production equipment across the plant, perform systematic preventative maintenance, and support plant safety and efficiency. Maintenance Technician:
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical manufacturing machinery. Repair, rebuild, and replace electric motors, gearboxes, pneumatic cylinders, hydraulic valves, pumps, bearings, and drive systems. Execute scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) routines and resolve emergency work orders to minimize line downtime. Perform basic industrial rigging, equipment positioning, and component hoisting using chain falls, hoists, straps, and slings safely. Log repairs, parts usage, completed work orders, and equipment diagnostics into the computerized maintenance tracking system. Support production teams and communicate equipment operational status clearly across shift handoffs. Strictly adhere to plant safety protocols, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), SQF, and HACCP standards. Details for
Maintenance Technician:
Pay Rate:
$25.00 - $38.00 / hour (Scaling strictly based on verifiable electrical/mechanical depth, certifications, and experience / DOE).
Schedule:
Full-Time (Overtime may be required based on plant production demands).
Shift Hours:
TBD (Shift flexibility needed).
Location:
Pierce County, WA facility.

Maintenance Technician:
Tenure & Experience:
Verified hands-on industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.
Diagnostics:
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
Rigging & Tools:
Basic rigging knowledge (hoists, chain falls, slings) and skilled use of hand tools, power tools, and shop machinery.
Physical & Heights:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely and work comfortably at heights up to 70 feet using lifts/ladders. Ability to read precision measuring equipment, blueprints/schematics, and communicate clearly in English.
Preferred Skills:
Structural steel fabrication, welding, or advanced industrial electrical experience is a
HUGE PLUS
. Exceptional record of daily attendance, prompt punctuality, and a safety-first mindset.
