Daffodil Storage has an immediate opening for a Full-Time Maintenance Technician who will visit various locations in Pierce County. We're looking for individuals who are committed to helping customers, but also want to be part of a growing company that sees the value of each individual in our team to provide exceptional customer service and to create positive partnerships with their team members. Job Description The Maintenance Technician performs day-to-day janitorial and light maintenance job duties in compliance with all company policies & procedures and per priorities given by the Maintenance Manager. Role and Responsibilities Conduct continuous safety checks on rental trucks, golf carts, and company owned vehicles as directed. End-user preventative maintenance of onsite HVAC equipment. Communicate and escalate deficiencies in life safety systems (sprinkler, fire alarm, etc). Communicate and escalate deficiencies in storm systems including any onsite detention or swale ponds. Act as the first point of contact to monitor, manage and communicate pest/rodent activity to relevant team members and external vendors. Cleaning of elevators where applicable including escalating external vendor repairs when needed. Maintain interior and exterior property curb appeal through sweeping, cleaning, and dusting, and wiping surfaces to present a polished and professional look to our customers. Coordinate customer latch repairs and cutting locks as needed. First-line troubleshooting and repair of gate operators, automatic entry devices, door, access control systems, and cameras. Request assistance with maintenance issues that require more than one person or that require a higher level of expertise. Actively work to understand the importance of and comply with all company policies and procedures. Actively support and participate in best practices, continual improvement and training programs. Inform the Maintenance Manager regarding issues that need to be addressed and assist in resolving those issues as needed. Job Requirements Have a firm understanding of Company Safety Policies & Procedures and actively use unit logs, PPE, and scheduled maintenance intervals. High energy, outgoing, customer-oriented individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Is detail oriented and has strong organizational, time management and problem-solving skills. Can successfully operate independently or as part of a team and is willing to work multiple locations. Is willing and able to work any day of the week between the hours of 7:00am and 7:00pm and to respond to immediate needs during off hours. Is able to perform maintenance tasks, and to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, stoop, bend and crawl. Must possess a valid driver's license, have access to reliable transportation to use throughout the work day and must be able to safely operate a moving truck.
