Job Description

Maintenance Technician Position Summary Icon Protection is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining facility operations, equipment, racking systems, and building infrastructure to ensure a safe, efficient, and productive work environment. The ideal candidate is hands-on, mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and able to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance on facility equipment and building systems Conduct routine inspections of machinery, racking, and facilities to identify and address maintenance needs Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and facility-related issues Perform general building maintenance, including minor carpentry, repairs, and installations Complete monthly fire extinguisher inspections and maintain compliance documentation Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, inspections, and repair logs Ensure Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are current, accessible, and compliant with regulations Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies, spare parts, and tools Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors as needed Respond to emergency maintenance situations in a timely manner Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements Report unsafe conditions and recommend corrective actions Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, warehouse, or commercial environment High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school training preferred Forklift operating experience required and ability to obtain company forklift certification Working knowledge of electrical systems, pneumatic systems, machinery, and general facility maintenance Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair instructions Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent verbal and written communication skills Flexibility to work overtime and varied schedules as business needs require Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift throughout the workday Frequently lift and move up to 55 pounds Ability to work in warehouse and manufacturing environments, including exposure to varying temperatures, noise, dust, and machinery Must be able to wear required PPE and safely perform job duties Why Join Icon Protection? $27.88 - $33.58 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
