Part-Time /On-Call Maintenance Technician Location:
Westport, Washington Pay:
$20.00 per hour Bloomer Estates Vacation Rentals is seeking a reliable, professional, and friendly Part-Time / On-Call Maintenance Technician to support our vacation rental properties in the Westport area. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem solving, and providing excellent service to guests, homeowners, and team members. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for helping maintain the safety, functionality, and appearance of our vacation rental homes. This role averages approximately 10-15 hours per week. Additional hours may become available based on business needs and seasonality. The ideal candidate must live within approximately 30 minutes of Westport, Washington to allow for timely response to guest and property maintenance needs. Core Duties Respond to guest maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner Communicate with Bloomer Estates' remote office staff regarding urgent maintenance tasks, service updates, and property concerns Provide clear updates to the office team regarding the status and completion of service requests Complete maintenance tasks and repairs according to company standards Perform general property repairs and upkeep Troubleshoot and resolve minor plumbing, electrical, and mechanical issues Change locks, keys, and access devices Assist with trash removal, deliveries, furniture/appliance movement, and property preparation Maintain accurate records of completed work, materials used, and property issues identified Perform property inspections and identify potential maintenance concerns Complete other duties as assigned On-Call Expectations This position includes occasional on-call availability to assist with guest needs, emergencies, and urgent maintenance situations. On-call availability will be scheduled in advance whenever possible. Employees are expected to communicate their availability and respond promptly when scheduled for on-call coverage. Employees must remain able to safely respond to maintenance needs while on call. While scheduled for on-call coverage, employees may not consume alcohol, marijuana, illegal substances, or any substance that could impair their ability to safely operate a vehicle, communicate professionally, or perform assigned duties. Employees must be able to respond in a timely manner if contacted regarding an urgent guest or property issue. Time spent actively responding to a guest request, traveling as required for work, or completing maintenance tasks will be recorded and paid according to applicable wage laws. Employees are not expected to perform unpaid work or respond to requests outside of scheduled work responsibilities. On-call schedules will be designed to provide reasonable expectations while allowing flexibility outside scheduled work hours. Requirements Minimum of 1 year of experience in property maintenance, facilities maintenance, construction, or a related field preferred Must live within approximately 30 minutes of Westport, Washington Ability to interact professionally with guests, homeowners, vendors, and team members Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to routinely lift 50 lbs., climb ladders and stairs, stoop, kneel, bend, and work in various conditions Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation Must provide basic hand tools (cordless drill, hammer, level, screwdrivers, etc.) Specialty tools and equipment will be provided by the company Knowledge of minor plumbing and electrical repairs is a plus Experience with smart home devices, locks, and electronics preferred Hot tub maintenance experience preferred Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Schedule Part-time / On-call position Approximately 10-15 hours per week Additional hours may become available based on business needs and seasonality Equal Opportunity Employer Bloomer Estates Vacation Rentals considers applicants for all positions without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, sexual orientation, familial status, marital status, veteran status, disability, or any other legally protected status.Job Type:
