Maintenance Technician (FT)

Our Maintenance Technician maintains plant equipment and systems to a state of absolute reliability, reports to the Facilities Manager, and performs the following duties to support

Edgerton Hospital:

Technician will provide excellent customer service and role model the hospitals I CARE values of Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Excellence. Performs daily maintenance and preventative maintenance on facilities equipment and systems. Works in a rotating weekday, weekend and holiday on call schedule as needed. Performs repairs to minor hospital equipment and facilities. Uses computer to adjust and oversee building automation system. Assists medical staff and environmental services in maintaining patient rooms. Installs new information technology (IT) data and telephone lines as directed. Installs minor electrical devices as directed. Assists clinical staff in replenishing oxygen and other medical gas cylinders. Installs and maintains physical security devices (Locksets) as directed by the facilities manager. Performs minor carpentry projects as directed. Assists in policing and disposal of "no value" equipment. Maintain a clean organized maintenance shop and area. Performs work from ladders and on building roof. Performs routine grounds maintenance such as: mowing, plowing, shoveling, sanding and salting of walks and drive ways, hedge trimming, weeding. Assists clinical staff with "Code" situations within the scope of their training. When necessary, assists patients, family members and general public as appropriate and in accordance with EHHS guidelines, policies and standards. Maintains Fire Protection equipment within scope of training. Acts as an agent to the hospital safety officer for compliance of local, state and federal regulatory compliance. Effectively utilizes communications tools such as: two-way radios, pagers and other telecommunications devices to remain informed and available. Works with power tools and diagnostic equipment. Performs work at satellite locations as needed. Performs other assignments as directed by the facilities manager. Two years health care facilities maintenance preferred. Experience in building, electrical, plumbing, or other trades preferred. Valid Wisconsin driver's license Ability to lift 60 lbs. and spend extended periods on feet.
