We're currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support operations at a 200+ unit market-rate apartment community in Madison, WI. This role is ideal for a hands-on technician who enjoys a mix of service requests, preventative maintenance, and light renovation work. You'll join an established onsite team at a community with recently updated appliances and ongoing unit renovations, plus strong incentives including a sign-on bonus, rent discount, and phone allowance. Responsibilities Complete daily work orders and resident service requests with a strong customer-service mindset Perform unit turns and renovation-related maintenance as needed, including appliance installs and basic repairs Support preventative maintenance efforts and help maintain community curb appeal and common areas Participate in a biweekly on-call rotation and respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies Work closely with the maintenance supervisor and onsite team to support occupancy and resident satisfaction Qualifications 1+ years of apartment maintenance experience Ability to troubleshoot and repair common apartment systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC basics, appliances) Comfortable working in occupied units and communicating professionally with residents Reliable transportation and ability to participate in an on-call rotation EPA certification and/or HVAC certification preferred (not required) Perks Earn up to $30/hour + $2,000 sign-on bonus Full benefits package including all major insurance, 401k, and PTO 20% rent discount available after 90 days of employment $25 monthly phone allowance and eligibility for leasing renewal bonuses
