  • $28.00 To $35.00 Hourly

  • Schedule:
  • Monday-Friday, 1st Shift (6:30 AM - 3:00 PM)
Pay Range:
  • $28.00 - $35.00 (based on experience and qualifications)

  • Position Summary
  • The Maintenance Mechanic performs all-around maintenance work on a variety of systems and pieces of equipment to ensure proper operating functions of machinery.
  • _The successful candidates will have an acceptable score on the maintenance questionnaire._
  • Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • + Ability to provide maintenance and repair on several types of building systems such as pipefitting, basic electrical, HVAC, etc.
+ Ability to repair machines and equipment involving parts replacement and trouble shooting. + Perform preventive maintenance on all assigned equipment. + Maintain company property to include work on buildings and grounds including snow removal. + Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations. + Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
  • Qualification Requirements
  • Education & Experience
  • + High school diploma or GED required; additional relevant training preferred. + Preferred experience level: Two years' experience in the manufacturing/chemical industry.
  • Skills & Abilities
  • + Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
+ Computer literacy is strongly preferred. + Ability to follow and provide instructions positively and effectively. + Forklift driving certification preferred; ability to operate a pallet jack required. + Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask. + Clean and organized work habits; ability to handle large volumes of powder and raw materials. + Basic math skills, including measurement conversion capabilities.

  • Physical Demands
  • + Frequent activities: talking, hearing, standing, walking, using hands for handling objects, and moving around. + Regular activities: sitting, balancing, stooping. + Occasional activities: reaching above shoulders, using feet to operate machinery, climbing. + Lifting requirements: regularly up to 65 lbs., occasionally up to 100 lbs.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • + Safety shoes, safety glasses, and flame-retardant uniforms or lab coats are required in production areas. + Respirators and ear plugs are required for specific production processes.
