Billboard & Sign Structure Installer $25-$45+/hour | Full-Time | Year-Round | Great Benefits | Travel Required
THIS IS NOT AN ENTRY LEVEL CONSTRUCTION POSITION PLEASE DO NOT APPLY UNLESS YOU MEET THESE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 2 years of OUTDOOR construction experience with solid experience using hand/power tools & heavy equipment Ability and willingness to travel for overnight projects up to 2+ weeks per month Absolutely no fear of heights Above All Outdoor Advertising, Inc. (AAO) is growing, and we're adding two full-time employees to our billboard construction crew.
COMPANY OVERVIEW AAO
has been a trusted billboard and sign construction contractor for over 19 years. We build and service billboard and sign structures throughout Wisconsin and the rest of the Midwest. Our crews work at heights up to 200 feet installing digital displays, performing structural repairs, servicing existing structures, and constructing new billboard systems from the ground up. This isn't a typical construction job. It's specialized, high-elevation work that requires focus, physical ability, teamwork, and personal responsibility.
JOB SUMMARY
We're looking for dependable, hard-working Billboard & Sign Structure Installers who want a
LONG-TERM
career with a growing company.
What You'll Do:
Assist with the construction, installation, repair, and maintenance of billboard and sign structures Work at elevated heights using appropriate fall-protection and safety equipment Assist with rigging, lifting, positioning, and securing large billboard components Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and construction equipment Assist with installation of digital billboard displays and other sign components Prepare and maintain safe, organized jobsites Work closely with crew members to safely and efficiently complete projects Follow company safety procedures and properly use required PPE Travel throughout Wisconsin and neighboring states for overnight projects
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
This is physically demanding outdoor construction work. You must have at least 2 years of OUTDOOR construction experience to be considered. You must also be able to: Confidently use hand and power tools Travel for overnight projects, sometimes for extended periods totaling 2+ weeks per month Work confidently and safely at heights up to 200 feet Climb fixed and extension ladders while using required fall protection Lift and carry materials weighing up to 100 lbs. Work outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions Report to work as early as 5:00 a.m. when required Work flexible hours - every day is different. Some days may extend until 7:00 p.m. or later depending on the project Learn new skills quickly and follow instructions Work effectively as part of a crew Communicate clearly and take responsibility for your work Follow safety procedures at all times
Ideal Candidates May Also Have:
Billboard or sign construction experience Experience working at heights Boom lift or aerial lift experience Working knowledge of crane hand signals, rigging, and safe lifting procedures Carpentry experience Welding or metal fabrication experience
EDUCATION & OTHER REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Reliable transportation to our shop in Pewaukee, WI Ability to read, write, and speak English Basic math skills
