Your Role:
The Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in supporting the Sheboygan facility by maintaining and repairing plant equipment, utility systems, and physical structures. As a multi-skilled professional, you will execute cross-disciplinary work orders and conduct thorough preventive maintenance to minimize downtime, extend machinery lifespan, and ensure regulatory compliance. In this role, responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Troubleshoot, install, and maintain electrical power/control circuits, VFDs, analytical equipment, and perform instrument calibrations. Operate, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair boilers, chillers, HVAC, air handling systems, and EHS-related equipment. Repair metal, glass, and glass-lined equipment using precision measuring tools, basic shop equipment (grinders, drill presses, band saws), and hand/power tools. Read, redline, and interpret technical drawings, schematics, gauges, and units of measure to evaluate systems and identify necessary repair parts. Adhere strictly to safety standards (confined space, hot work, line entry), actively report unsafe conditions, and participate in 6S shop organization. Utilize CMMS, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), email, and web applications to log work, manage tasks, and drive process improvement solutions. Safely operate industrial vehicles (forklifts, manlifts), direct contractors and auxiliary technicians, and undertake work-related travel as required. Make critical operational decisions, analyze risks, resolve technical issues, and participate in weekend, after-hours, and on-call rotation programs.
Shift/Hours:
Sunday - Thursday, 11:00pm-7:30am.
Physical Attributes:
Sit, stand, walk, reach above the shoulder, stoop, kneel, twist, or crouch for long periods of time. Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Use close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision and the ability to adjust focus. Wear an air helmet, respirator mask, safety shoes, rubber apron, chemical protective suits and gloves, safety glasses and goggles to protect from toxic or corrosive chemicals.
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED. 3+ years of maintenance experience. Valid Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associates Degree in Mechanical Maintenance and Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance or other maintenance discipline. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience using a forklift.
Pay Range for this position:
$25/hr - $44/yr ​ The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
