Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Garage Door Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of garage doors and related hardware. Your expertise will ensure that each project is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction and repair projects, utilizing your mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills to deliver exceptional service to our customers. Responsibilities Install, repair, and replace garage doors, door openers, and related hardware with precision and attention to detail Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately execute installation plans Use power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to complete projects effectively Conduct door hanging, framing, drywall finishing, caulking, trim carpentry, and metal stud framing as needed Perform electrical work related to garage door systems including wiring and troubleshooting electrical components Ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations throughout all phases of work Assist with remodeling projects that involve fixture installation, cabinet setup, locksmithing, or other handyman tasks Requirements Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on door installation or related trades such as carpentry or remodeling Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics interpretation Ability to lift heavy materials safely and perform heavy lifting tasks regularly Strong understanding of building code compliance and safety standards in construction environments Customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients and address their needs professionally Knowledge of glass installation, drywall finishing, caulking, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and metal stud framing is highly desirable Electrical experience including wiring garage door openers or related systems is a plus Valid construction or handyman certification/license preferred but not required Join our team if you're passionate about delivering quality craftsmanship in a fast-paced environment! Pay:
