We are seeking a dependable Maintenance Tech to perform general maintenance and construction-related tasks across our properties. The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and appearance of all properties. This hands-on position requires a skilled individual who can perform general maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and complete construction-related repairs efficiently and safely. A Maintenance Technician helps maintain a high standard of living for residents by addressing maintenance requests, conducting preventative maintenance, and supporting building operations. While HVAC experience is helpful, the ideal candidate brings a strong background in construction, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and general property upkeep. Reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
Perform general maintenance and repairs, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and other construction tasks Respond to maintenance requests promptly and professionally Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance Assist with installation, repair, and upkeep of building systems and equipment Maintain proper documentation of work completed and materials used Follow all safety protocols and guidelines Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations across the organization. Perform maintenance service requests as required. Complete make-readies in a timely manner according to Company standards. Keep building woodwork in good condition; replace electrical switches, fixtures and motors; repair or replace plumbing fixtures; replace broken window panes and screens; replace or re-key locks; repair or replace appliance parts. Perform tasks associated with preventative maintenance. Complete a Make-Ready Checklist for each apartment made ready. Follow all safety procedures, including wearing prescribed safety and personal protective equipment and notify supervisor of safety hazards. Ability to meet deadlines.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in construction, general maintenance, or related field Familiarity with tools and construction equipment HVAC experience is beneficial but not required Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable, punctual, and committed to quality work Proven experience in maintenance roles, preferably within a manufacturing or facilities environment. Strong electrical experience with the ability to use tools Excellent customer service skills, demonstrating professionalism in all interactions Ability to operate a paint sprayer and carpet cleaning machine. Understand and carry out oral instructions.
Physical Functions:
Standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, climbing, stooping, kneeling, bending, reaching, writing, driving, talking, hearing and seeing. Also, withstand normal environmental conditions both inside and out throughout the year.
Requirements:
Must Pass a pre employment Drug test and Background Check Must have a valid rivers license and reliable transportation High School Graduate or Equivalent Training (5 years maintenance experience.) Two years maintenance experience Ability to be on-call after business hours Ability to do essential functions.
