- Position Summary TEKsystems is seeking motivated and detail-oriented Data Technicians to support a nationwide access control installation project.

- Sunday - Thursday
- 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

- 100% travel required for the duration of the project

- Valid driver's license required Key Responsibilities
- Install and terminate CAT5e network cabling in support of access control systems.
- Terminate RJ45 connectors and perform cable testing and certification.
- Mount and connect network door controllers and other access control devices.
- Install and terminate illuminated NFC tap point assemblies and related field devices.
- Label, organize, and dress structured cabling to maintain quality installation standards.
- Test network connectivity and verify communication between system components.
- Assist with equipment commissioning, system verification, and troubleshooting activities.
- Maintain accurate installation documentation and adhere to project requirements.
- Collaborate with Electricians and project teams to ensure successful project completion.
- Follow all site safety requirements, quality standards, and project timelines. Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience installing and terminating CAT5e cabling.
- Experience mounting and connecting network-based devices and controllers.
- Experience troubleshooting, installing, dressing, and organizing structured cabling systems.
- Familiarity with RJ45 terminations, cable testing, and network connectivity principles.
- Ability to read and follow project documentation and installation standards.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a customer-facing environment. Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with access control systems or security installations.
- Experience commissioning network-connected devices.
- Knowledge of low-voltage cabling best practices and industry standards. Team Structure Each installation team will consist of:
- 1 Licensed or Experienced Electrician
- 1 Low Voltage/Data Technician Together, the team will support the installation of network-connected access control systems, including structured cabling, network connectivity, electrical infrastructure, equipment enclosures, and related field devices.

- This is a Contract position based out of Lowell, AR.
- Pay and Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $33.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
