Role:

The Cables Assembly Technician will build and prepare cables and related electronic components by following detailed process documentation and using both manual and automated tools. This role involves precise cutting, stripping, soldering, and over molding work, as well as applying EMI shielding and performing in-process testing to ensure product compliance. The position plays a key role in helping the company achieve its manufacturing goals by supporting efficient production, maintaining high-quality standards, and ensuring products are completed accurately. The role requires strong attention to detail, steady hands for medium to high dexterity tasks, and the ability to work efficiently during 10-hour shifts in a modern, collaborative production environment.

Role:

Cable Assembly:

Assemble a variety of cable and electronic products by following detailed work instructions, engineering drawings, and production workflows. Perform cable assembly processes including wire cutting and stripping, soldering, overmolding, epoxy application, EMI shielding, labeling, and handling of small electronic components using proper ESD protection. Adapt to changing products and production requirements while demonstrating attention to detail, manual dexterity, and a willingness to learn new processes.

Quality:

Verify part numbers, materials, and components before and during assembly to ensure compliance with specifications. Scan, inspect, measure, and test products throughout the manufacturing process while following documented procedures and reporting defects or process deviations.

Safety:

Safely operate hand tools, assembly equipment, production machinery, and measuring devices while following all safety and ESD requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area and ensure proper handling of materials, components, and equipment.

Collaboration:

• Communicate issues, defects, and process concerns to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with team members and work under the direction of the Production Supervisor to meet production goals and maintain workflow efficiency.
• Communicate quality concerns, production issues, and process improvements in a timely manner while supporting a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications :

• 1-2 years of mechanical assembler experience, such as building chassis, aerospace assembly, or medical device assembly.
• Ability to read and use a ruler accurately for measurement checks on in-process products.
• Capability to perform medium to high dexterity tasks repeatedly throughout a full shift.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to following SOPs.
• Effective communication skills to interact with production leadership and team members.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs as required by production tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Willingness to learn new tools, equipment, and processes as the operation expands.
• Experience working in a structured manufacturing or production environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with EMI shield application and over molding processes using epoxy or molding machines is preferred.
