Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Camera Technician / CCTV Lead to join our security and surveillance team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing a wide range of security camera systems and electronic security equipment. Your expertise will ensure the integrity of surveillance operations, support system design and integration, and provide exceptional technical support to clients and team members. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead CCTV projects, enhance physical security measures, and contribute to the safety of diverse environments through innovative technology solutions. Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain CCTV systems, alarm systems, access control devices, and other low-voltage electrical security equipment in accordance with electrical blueprints and schematics. Troubleshoot complex issues related to surveillance cameras, sensors, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), and network connectivity using hand tools, power tools, and remote access software. Lead field service operations including system upgrades, repairs, and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance of security infrastructure. Interpret technical drawings and schematics to facilitate system design, integration of door security systems, and low-voltage wiring installations. Support system troubleshooting by diagnosing electrical or hardware faults in computer hardware components or cabling setups. Collaborate with clients to provide technical troubleshooting support for physical security systems while maintaining excellent customer service standards. Conduct site surveys to determine appropriate equipment placement; interpret technical drawings for seamless integration of alarm & access control systems with existing infrastructure. Assist in training team members on the use of surveillance software, remote access tools, and new security technologies. Experience Proven experience as a service technician or installer specializing in electrical security systems such as CCTV, fire alarms, alarm & access control systems. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools for equipment installation and troubleshooting. Demonstrated ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to low-voltage electrical wiring and system design. Familiarity with computer networking concepts including IP-based surveillance systems and remote access software. Knowledge of sensors, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), surveillance equipment, and low-voltage electrical systems is essential. Prior experience in electrical security system installation or physical security troubleshooting is highly desirable. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients and team members alike. $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
