Cable Installer

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cable Installer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting various telecommunication and networking systems, ensuring seamless connectivity for our clients. Your expertise will help deliver reliable internet, phone, and network services by accurately executing cable runs, fiber splicing, and equipment setup. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in the field, applying mechanical knowledge and technical skills to solve complex installation challenges while providing exceptional service to customers. Duties Install and configure telecommunication systems including Ethernet, telephony, and fiber optic cabling in commercial and residential settings Perform fiber splicing with precision to ensure optimal signal transmission and network integrity Set up and troubleshoot network equipment such as Cisco routers, switches, and low voltage systems Use hand tools and electrical testing devices like ohmmeters to verify cable continuity and electrical connections Conduct field service activities including site surveys, system testing, and troubleshooting network issues on-site Follow safety protocols related to telecommunication and electrical work, ensuring compliance with industry standards Document installation processes, test results, and system configurations accurately for recordkeeping Experience Proven experience as a service technician or field installer specializing in telecommunication or networking systems Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including Ethernet wiring, network topology, and low voltage cabling Hands-on experience with fiber splicing techniques and tools Familiarity with Cisco routers, switches, and other networking hardware Mechanical aptitude with the ability to use hand tools effectively in confined or challenging environments Electrical experience related to telecommunication wiring, low voltage systems, or electrical troubleshooting Prior work involving telecommunication infrastructure installation or maintenance is highly desirable Join us to be part of a team dedicated to delivering cutting-edge connectivity solutions!
