- Los Angeles, CA Role Overview We are seeking experienced Project Coordinators to support the deployment and installation of network and low-voltage infrastructure systems for LAUSD. The role involves close coordination with contractors, technicians, and district project teams to ensure smooth execution of infrastructure projects across multiple sites. Key Responsibilities Coordinate the installation of
LAN, WLAN
systems, as well as IP-based camera, intrusion, public address, and VoIP systems. Create and maintain accurate meeting minutes. Create and maintain spreadsheets used for tracking projects. Receive and inventory equipment deliveries using client-specified forms/processes. Schedule and participate in job-start meetings and joint scope meetings with outside vendors. Prepare and track project documentation (inspections, work orders, etc.). Use client-specified applications/tools for tracking projects. Process and track invoices to appropriate vendors. Create and maintain project documents, and prepare project closeout document packages. Attend project meetings at client sites. Prepare clear and concise reports; formulate and express ideas clearly in writing and verbally. Set priorities and successfully complete tasks in a timely manner. Maintain effective working relationships with client personnel and other organizations. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications At least 2 years of verifiable, hands-on experience coordinating project activities related to deployment and installation of Local Area Network (LAN) and Wireless LAN (WLAN) infrastructure systems, Intrusion Alarm systems, and IP Video Surveillance (CCTV) systems in large institutional (K-12, higher education, or government) facilities. Demonstrated ability to coordinate with contractors, low-voltage technicians, electricians, and other trades. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, low-voltage designs, Statements of Work (SOW), Bills of Material (BOM), and Requests for Clarification (RFC). Ability to create project status reports and project meeting minutes. Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university, OR equivalent relevant work experience considered on a year-for-year basis in lieu of a degree. Valid California driver's license and use of a personal vehicle. Must reside within 40 miles of Los Angeles at the time of hiring. Additional Requirements Candidates must be able to pass a fingerprint-based criminal background check clearance prior to starting on-site work. Given the nature of the client site, roles involving contact with children may require compliance with applicable state fingerprinting/clearance regulations. Candidate is expected to bring their own laptop equipped with standard productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint). Performance will be periodically reviewed; continued engagement is contingent on satisfactory performance.
Pay:
$26.69 - $35.14 per hour Expected hours: 8.0 per week
