Low Voltage Technician / Wire Puller - Entry Level to Lead Technician BCG Concepts is a residential technology and low-voltage integration company specializing in high-end homes and new construction projects throughout the Los Angeles area. We are currently expanding our installation team and are looking for candidates ranging from entry-level wire pullers and junior technicians to experienced low-voltage and lead technicians . Whether you are looking to enter the low-voltage industry and learn a skilled trade or already have several years of experience and are ready for a lead role, we are interested in speaking with you. Position Overview Our technicians work on custom residential projects installing the infrastructure and systems that support today's connected homes. Depending on experience level, responsibilities may range from assisting with pre-wire installations to independently managing portions of a project and supervising junior technicians. Typical projects include structured wiring, networking, audio/video, surveillance, security, lighting control, motorized shades and smart home automation. Entry-Level / Junior Technician Responsibilities No previous low-voltage experience is required for entry-level applicants. Construction, electrical or related trade experience is helpful.

Responsibilities may include:

Pulling and routing low-voltage wiring in new construction homes Installing CAT6, speaker wire, security, camera and control wiring Drilling and preparing pathways for cabling Installing backboxes, brackets and other rough-in materials Labeling, testing and organizing wiring Assisting technicians with equipment and system installations Loading and unloading tools and materials Maintaining a clean and organized jobsite Learning industry standards and installation techniques from experienced technicians Experienced / Lead Technician Responsibilities Experienced candidates may be responsible for: Managing residential pre-wire, trim and finish installations Reading architectural plans and low-voltage drawings Structured wiring and network installations Installing TVs, speakers and audio/video systems Building and terminating equipment racks Installing surveillance and security systems Installing networking and Wi-Fi equipment Smart home and automation system installation Troubleshooting low-voltage systems Coordinating with project managers, builders and other trades Supervising and training junior technicians Maintaining quality-control standards throughout the installation process Experience with platforms or manufacturers such as Control4, Crestron, Savant, Lutron, Sonos, UniFi or similar systems is a plus, but not required for every position. Qualifications Reliable and punctual Valid driver's license Reliable transportation for entry-level positions Basic hand tools Comfortable working on active residential construction sites Comfortable using ladders and performing physical installation work Ability to lift and carry equipment and materials Strong attention to detail Good communication skills Professional appearance and attitude Ability to work well as part of a team Previous experience in low voltage, electrical, construction, AV, networking, security, home automation or a related trade is preferred for higher-level positions. Compensation $25-$40 per hour , depending on experience, technical ability and level of responsibility. Compensation and position level will be based on demonstrated experience and ability to work independently.
