This role is responsible for responding to service orders, safely delivering and installing Soma® Safe Enclosure equipment, performing routine inspections and maintenance, sanitizing equipment, completing accurate documentation, and providing professional service to hospital staff. This is a field-based position that requires independent work, strong communication, safe driving, technical aptitude, and careful attention to quality and documentation. The Field Technician plays an important role in keeping VIVAX equipment safe, functional, clean, and ready for use in patient-care environments. Schedule & Compensation

• $22.00 per hour.
• Guaranteed 70 paid hours every two weeks.
• Thursday through Saturday, 3:30 PM-2:00 AM, plus every other Wednesday.
• Paid hours typically range from 30-40 per week, averaging approximately 35 hours per week.
• The regular rotation is expected to include 56 regular hours and 14 overtime hours per two-week pay period, subject to applicable California wage-and-hour requirements and company payroll practices.
• Shift includes a meal break. Key Responsibilities
• Execute service orders received through the Company's online ordering system in a timely and professional manner.
• Travel throughout the assigned Northern California service territory and adjust routing as service needs change.
• Operate company-provided vehicles safely and complete required daily vehicle safety inspections.
• Deliver, install, remove, relocate, inspect, maintain, sanitize, and prepare company equipment in accordance with company procedures.
• Perform equipment setup, breakdown, maintenance, manufacturing updates, and conversions to current equipment models.
• Perform routine inspections of equipment stationed within healthcare facilities and identify defects, damage, deficiencies, or repair needs.
• Recognize potential safety concerns or improper equipment use and communicate or escalate concerns according to company procedure.
• Accurately complete timesheets, service documentation, inspection paperwork, equipment tracking, and damage/repair records.
• Use company tablets, mobile communication tools, and tracking systems to execute and document service activity.
• Provide updated estimated arrival times (ETAs) and maintain clear communication with healthcare facilities and fellow technicians.
• Follow facility-specific delivery, access, safety, and service procedures at all times.
• Maintain professional conduct in healthcare and patient-care environments.
• Perform warehouse duties including washing, inspection, organization, and preparation of equipment.
• Maintain product knowledge and assist facility staff with appropriate equipment-use questions within the technician's scope.
• Support team coverage during technician absences, PTO, and other operational needs. Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
• Mechanical aptitude or technical service experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation and reporting.
• Ability to safely lift, transport, assemble, disassemble, and move equipment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills when interacting with healthcare personnel.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining communication and teamwork with colleagues.
• Comfort using tablets, mobile technology, and basic computer-based tracking systems.
• Ability to meet applicable healthcare-facility access, credentialing, safety, and infection-control requirements. Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in healthcare, medical equipment, field service, delivery/service operations, or a related environment.
• Familiarity with equipment inspection, maintenance, repair, or technical troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of safety and regulatory expectations applicable to healthcare environments. What We Offer
