Palm Beach, FL Job Details Temporary $20 - $31 an hour 3 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Customer service Network infrastructure VoIP Attention to detail Hand tools Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Low Voltage Installer for several install projects in Palm Beach. In this role, you will be responsible for cabling and completing the physical install of the endpoint equipment. (camera, wireless radio, etc.) Knowledge of structured network wiring is essential. Your expertise will ensure seamless operation of systems such as CCTV, fiber optic networks, telecommunication systems, and structured cabling. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, develop technical skills, and contribute to the safety and connectivity of our clients' environments. Responsibilities Install and configure low-voltage systems including CCTV surveillance, fiber optic cabling, Ethernet networks, VoIP telephony, and structured cabling infrastructure. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to ensure precise system installation. Troubleshoot equipment issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters, multimeters, and specialized telecommunications testing equipment. Conduct network wiring, cable termination, and equipment setup for LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), and other communication systems. Use hand tools and power tools safely to install electrical wiring (AC/DC), equipment racks, and communication hardware in various environments. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients about system functionality, maintenance needs, or troubleshooting steps. Skills Proficiency in installing and troubleshooting CCTV cameras, fiber optic systems, Ethernet cabling (Cat5/Cat6), and telecommunication hardware. Strong understanding of schematics, technical diagrams, and network installation procedures. Experience with fiber splicing techniques and fiber optic system installation. (preferred but optional) Knowledge of computer networking concepts including LAN/WAN setup, Cisco routers, Juniper devices, VoIP systems, and network wiring standards. Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and telecommunication testing equipment effectively. Familiarity with low-voltage electrical wiring (structured cabling), power tools, hand tools, and equipment repair techniques. Understanding of radio frequency (RF) testing methods for wireless communication systems. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Technical proficiency with network cabling standards such as Cat5 or Cat6 is preferred. Join us if you're passionate about building reliable communication networks!
