A/V Technician - Job Description Our company designs and installs luxury audio/video, lighting control and smart home systems for high-end homes We work out of our Orlando showroom with top brands, including Lutron, Control4, Savant, Josh.ai, FX Luminaire, Alarm.com, Crestron and many other brands . The Role:

A/V Technician (Full-Time, Orlando) You'll install, set up and service A/V and smart home systems in some of the finest homes in Florida. The job covers everything from pre-wire on new construction to final trim-out and the client walkthrough. Pay is a competitive base plus commission on the sales you help create. The career path has no ceiling: grow from technician to lead, programmer, project manager as fast as your skills allow.

What You'll Do Pre-wire:

run, label and document low-voltage cabling (Cat6, speaker wire, HDMI, fiber, control, lighting) in new builds and remodels. Work from our drawings.

Trim-out and install:

mount TVs, projectors and screens. Install in-wall and in-ceiling speakers, keypads, shades, cameras and outdoor landscape lighting.

Rack builds:

build, dress and label equipment racks to BLS standards. Every rack should look like it belongs in a showroom.

Networking:

set up and test home networks, Wi-Fi access points and IP devices (Araknis, UniFi, Access Networks or similar).

Commissioning:

test and calibrate systems. Help bring Control4, Savant, Lutron and Josh.ai systems online.

Service calls:

diagnose and fix problems quickly and professionally, often in occupied luxury homes.

Client walkthroughs:

train homeowners on their new systems so they love using them.

Spot opportunities:

notice where a client would benefit from an upgrade, a service plan or an added room, and pass it to the sales team or quote it yourself.

Documentation:

keep job notes, photos and as-builts current in our systems. Leave every site cleaner than you found it. What We're Looking For Required 2+ years in A/V installation, low-voltage, security, structured cabling, or a closely related field Solid understanding of signal flow, cable termination and basic networking (IP addressing, switches, Wi-Fi) Clean, careful workmanship. You treat a client's home like it's your Grandmothers. Professional appearance and communication with homeowners, builders and designers Valid driver's license and a clean driving record Able to lift 50 lbs, work on ladders and in attics, and move around job sites Reliable, on time, and able to pass a background check Nice to Have Residential integration experience (Control4, Savant, Crestron, URC or Lutron) Certifications such as Lutron RadioRA 3 / HomeWorks, Control4, CompTIA Network+, Dante or BICSI Experience with Araknis, UniFi or Access Networks Bilingual (English/Spanish) No integration experience but strong low-voltage, security or IT skills?
