Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Fiber Optics Technician/Team Leader to join our telecommunications installation team. In this role, you will train and lead a crew of skilled technicians to install, maintain, and troubleshoot fiber optic and telecommunications networks. Your expertise will ensure high-quality service delivery for residential, commercial, and industrial clients. As a team leader, you will coordinate field operations, oversee safety protocols, and ensure projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. Duties Lead and supervise a team of fiber optics technicians during installation, splicing, testing, and maintenance of fiber optic cables and telecommunications infrastructure Install and troubleshoot telecommunications network cables including Ethernet, telephony lines, satellite dishes, and power systems Perform fiber splicing with precision using specialized tools to ensure optimal signal quality and network performance Operate yo ur own vehicles safely to transport equipment and personnel to job sites across various outdoor locations Use hand tools such as wire crimpers, wire strippers, cable cutters, and power tools for cable installation and equipment setup Conduct equipment testing utilizing voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing devices to verify system integrity Ensure adherence to safety standards by implementing proper ladder use, electrical safety procedures, and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) protocols Qualifications Proven experience working as a telecommunications infrastructure technician with expertise in fiber splicing and network installation Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including Ethernet wiring and Cisco routers configuration Hands-on experience with telecommunication systems such as telephony setups, satellite dish installation, and cable management Mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate power tools, hand tools, and electrical testing equipment effectively Prior leadership experience or ability to lead a team in outdoor work environments with excellent organizational skills Valid driver's license with clean driving record; experience operating company vehicles required Electrical work background with knowledge of wiring standards, electrical safety practices, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and electrical troubleshooting techniques What we offer is a $1500 bonus after 90 days and a commission pay per job on techs you hiring once you move to a different market and build your team Join us in delivering reliable telecommunications solutions while advancing your career in a vibrant team environment!
