Dunbar Security Solutions is hiring a Senior Security Systems Technician to join our Baltimore team. This is a senior-level position for a technician who already has 5+ years of hands-on experience installing, maintaining, and repairing access control, CCTV, and alarm systems, and who's ready to take on more complex installs, system evaluations, and on-call responsibility.   • 36/hour based on experience Company vehicle, tools, and equipment provided (where applicable) Overtime opportunities Career growth and advancement opportunities Stable, long-term employment with an established security company What You Will Be Doing Install, maintain, repair, modify, and test access control, CCTV, and alarm systems hardware Install and terminate low-voltage cable and wiring, electronic door locks, access card readers, door position switches, request-to-exit detectors, CCTV cameras, and related hardware Test security systems hardware using specialized testing equipment and correct malfunctions to restore equipment to standard Work with alarm and monitoring circuits and troubleshoot in a live field environment Perform emergency repairs and respond to on-call service needs Install and relocate security systems equipment at customer sites Evaluate existing systems and recommend expansion, modification, or replacement Maintain accurate equipment and installation records, including physical inventories of security systems equipment Operate power tools and hand tools to install and repair electronic equipment Distinguish standard industry color codes to correctly identify cable, wiring, and electronic components Safely transport and operate a company-owned electric scissor lift and trailer Move electronic equipment weighing up to 70 lbs using a hand truck, including distances of up to 100 feet across a job site Maintain a clean, organized work area and properly clean and store equipment Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move equipment up to 70 lbs with the aid of a hand truck Ability to safely operate a scissor lift and work at heights Ability to distinguish colors for standard cable/wiring color codes Ability to work in varying environments, including retail locations during evening hours as needed Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in a business-related field preferred 5+ years of hands-on experience installing and maintaining access control, CCTV, and alarm systems Strong working knowledge of access control, CCTV, and alarm system hardware Valid driver's license Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and rotating on-call coverage, with advance scheduling where possible Comfortable working in retail environments during evening hours as needed Skills & Competencies Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills in a live field environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Professional, neat appearance and demeanor Strong customer service skills Ethical conduct and thoroughness in all work Ability to work independently and as part of a team Additional Information /
