Low Voltage Technician Sight and Surf & The Wire Masters Minneapolis, MN Job Details Full-time $25 - $35 an hour 20 hours ago Benefits Paid training 401(k) Paid time off Qualifications Sawing Customer service Attention to detail Telecommunication Electrical troubleshooting Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Low Voltage Technician to join our team and drive excellence in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage systems. (Example - Camera Systems, WiFi Hardware, Networking Hardware, TVs, Speakers) Responsibilities Install, configure, and troubleshoot low voltage systems including CCTV, VoIP telephony, fiber optics, Ethernet networks, and access control systems. Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately complete installations and repairs. Conduct network installation activities involving Cat5, Cat6 cabling Provide exceptional field service by responding promptly to service calls, performing on-site repairs, and ensuring customer satisfaction through clear communication. Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including system configurations, schematics updates, and service reports. Experience Proven experience as a service technician or low voltage installer with a strong background in electrical systems and computer networking. Hands-on experience with CCTV systems, LAN/WAN networks, and telecommunication infrastructure. Familiarity with NEC electrical codes and safety standards related to low voltage installations. Skilled in using hand tools such as crimpers, wire strippers, drills, power saws, and testing equipment like ohmmeters. Knowledge of data center environments and experience working with equipment repair or maintenance in high-tech settings. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients at all levels of understanding. Ability to read schematics accurately and follow detailed installation procedures while adhering to safety protocols.
