Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cable Technician to join our team. As a Cable Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various types of communication and data transmission cables. This is a hands-on role that requires technical expertise and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Install, terminate, and test communication cables, including fiber optic and copper cables
• Perform fiber splicing and fusion splicing as needed
• Troubleshoot and repair cable faults and connectivity issues
• Conduct site surveys to determine cable routing and installation requirements
• Collaborate with other technicians and project managers to ensure successful completion of projects
• Provide excellent customer service and address client inquiries or concerns
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including cable records and test results

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Cable Technician or in a related field
• Strong knowledge of field service operations and cable installation techniques
• Proficient in fiber splicing, termination, and testing procedures
• Familiarity with low voltage systems, including telephone and data networks
• Ability to use hand tools and specialized equipment for cable installation
• Knowledge of Ethernet protocols and network installation practices
• Mechanical aptitude for working with cables, connectors, and equipment
