Position Overview We are currently seeking an experienced Structured Cabling / Low-Voltage Technician to join our team in Columbus, OH. The ideal candidate will have hands-on field experience installing and troubleshooting low-voltage infrastructure in accordance with BICSI and industry standards. Whether working on new commercial builds, retrofits, or large-scale warehouse environments, our technicians ensure projects are completed safely, cleanly, and on schedule. Key Responsibilities Install, route, and pull Category 6/6A, fiber optic, coax, and low-voltage cabling through ceiling spaces, conduits, ladder racks, and J-hooks. Build out telecommunications closets, including wall-mounted racks, server cabinets, and cable management systems. Terminate, test, and label data jacks, patch panels, and faceplates. Mount and install physical infrastructure for IP video surveillance (CCTV), access control systems, and related data hardware. Utilize diagnostic tools to test and troubleshoot cable runs and system connectivity.

Qualifications & Requirements Experience:

1+ years of experience in structured cabling, low-voltage, or physical infrastructure installation (3+ years preferred).

Preferred:

AXIS Certification, BISCI Certification, IPConfigure Certification Physical Demands:

Ability to lift 10-30 lbs unassisted; comfortably climb and work from ladders, lifts, and elevated pathways; work in tight or non-climate-controlled spaces (attics, crawl spaces, outdoor environments).

Equipment Safety:

Must meet manufacturer safety weight limits for ladders and lifts

Tools & Skills:

Proficient with standard hand and power tools, as well as low-voltage testing equipment. Strong attention to detail and clean cable management standards.

Screening:

Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record, and pass a pre-employment background check.
