In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low-voltage electrical systems and communication networks across various commercial and industrial sites. Your expertise will ensure the seamless operation of telecommunications, security, data, and audio-visual systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology while providing exceptional service to clients. Your technical proficiency and proactive approach will be key to delivering reliable solutions that meet project specifications and customer expectations. Responsibilities Install, configure, and troubleshoot low-voltage systems including CCTV, fiber optic cabling, structured cabling (Cat5, Cat6), Ethernet networks, VoIP telephony, and telecommunication systems. Perform fiber splicing and fiber optic system installation to ensure high-quality data transmission. Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately execute system installations and repairs. Conduct network wiring, cable termination, and equipment setup for LAN (Local Area Network) and WAN (Wide Area Network) environments using appropriate tools such as crimpers, testers, and diagnostic devices. Test telecommunications equipment using specialized testing tools like oscilloscopes, multimeters (ohmmeters), and RF testers to diagnose issues effectively. Troubleshoot equipment failures in electrical systems (AC/DC), network hardware (Cisco routers, Juniper devices), and communication systems to restore optimal operation swiftly. Collaborate with clients to assess needs, provide technical support, and deliver professional customer service throughout the project lifecycle. Requirements Proven experience as a Low Voltage Technician or Service Technician in telecommunications or related fields. Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including Ethernet, LAN/WAN configurations, Cisco routers, Juniper devices, and network cabling standards. Hands-on experience with fiber splicing, fiber optic systems installation, structured cabling (Cat5/Cat6), and cable termination techniques. Familiarity with telephony systems such as VoIP platforms (e.g., Avaya) and traditional telecommunication wiring. Ability to read schematics accurately and utilize diagnostic tools for troubleshooting electrical and network issues. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, crimpers, testers, and other technical equipment required for system installation and repair. Knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems along with safety protocols for low-voltage electrical wiring projects. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and professional interaction with clients. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred; willingness to travel to various job sites as needed.
