Travel Requirement:

This role requires 100% full-time travel within Montgomery, AL and other project sites nationwide. All travel expenses are covered by the company.

Job Summary:

Low voltage technicians work in a team environment to meet project objectives. They must have a great attitude, be dependable, willing to learn and take directions and are reliable on the job site. In this role you will be completing both ISP and OSP work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Install, terminate, and test structured cabling systems for CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6a, fiber optic, and coaxial cables, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with industry standards.

Build, install, and maintain MDFs and IDFs, including racks, patch panels, wire management systems, and network hardware, while troubleshooting low voltage cable systems.

Must have hands-on experience using OTDRs and Fluke Loss Testers to perform fiber-optic testing, troubleshooting, and certification.

Perform cable pulling, suspension, fireproofing, termination, and testing in accordance with BICSI standards, NEC, and local regulations to ensure safety and compliance.

Deliver exceptional customer service, maintain professionalism and strong communication skills to resolve technical issues and provide solutions.

Ensure high-quality, organized, and professional workmanship on all installations to meet project specifications and exceed customer expectations.

Travel to job sites anywhere within your state, may also be required to travel within the USA Minimum Requirements A minimum of 3 years of commercial low voltage installation experience:

Demonstrated experience operating OTDR and Fluke Loss Test equipment for fiber-optic testing and troubleshooting.

Able to terminate a jack, pull cable and "work a 90" proficiently with no supervision

Can install, terminate, and test structured cabling systems for CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6a, fiber optic, and coaxial cables with no supervision

Ability to build out MDF and IDF closets including racks, patch panels, wire management systems, and network hardware with no supervision

Must be able to work on ladders and use power tools; ability to lift/carry/setup a 50-pound box or ladder

Must own low voltage tools (strippers, screwdrivers, wrenches)

Able to work 2nd/3rd shift, overtime, and under pressure.

Must pass a 7-year background check, drug screen, and physical.

Requires valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and insurance

Commercial construction experience preferred

Professional working proficiency in English Preferred Experience (not required) OSHA 10 Certification

BICSI Technician or Installation Certification

Powder Actuated Tools Certification

Confined Space Certification

CPR and First Aid certified

Manufacturers certifications for Installation and Maintenance

High School Diploma Pay Rate:

$23.00 - $28.00/hour
