The Telematics Technician is responsible for installing, wiring, and testing 3-wire GPS tracking devices in vehicles. This role involves safely routing wiring through dashboards, connecting to the vehicle's fuse panel, and verifying system functionality. Technicians must ensure clean, hidden installations while maintaining clear GPS signal paths and adhering to all safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Install 3-wire GPS tracking units under dashboards with secure, concealed mounting. Connect wiring to fuse panel Route and secure wiring away from airbags and moving parts using zip ties. Verify proper device power and reporting by cycling vehicle ignition. Label and document device information with vehicle details. Take clear photos of completed installation for verification. Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety protocols.

Requirements:

Experience with GPS, telematics, or 12V electrical installations. Ability to read wiring diagrams and identify fuse types. Comfortable working under dashboards and in vehicle interiors. Must have own basic hand tools and reliable transportation. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow wiring standards. Valid driver's license required.
