This role requires working at customer locations and in outdoor environments while completing assigned tasks in accordance with company procedures, client expectations, and established safety standards. Technicians are responsible for delivering reliable service, maintaining high-quality workmanship, and representing the company professionally during every customer interaction. Success in this role requires attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work independently or as part of a field team. Core Duties Perform installation, maintenance, and repair work for residential cable services in accordance with company procedures. Diagnose service interruptions, identify technical issues, and complete corrective actions to restore network performance. Install and replace customer equipment while ensuring all services meet established quality standards. Record job completion details, production information, materials used, and other required documentation accurately. Follow company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and customer-specific guidelines on every assignment. Assist with quality control activities and resolve installation or service issues as needed. Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in safe working condition and use them responsibly. Protect customer property by using safe work practices and immediately reporting any accidents or damages. Communicate effectively with supervisors, dispatch, and fellow technicians regarding work status and operational updates. Maintain a professional appearance and provide courteous, respectful service during every customer interaction.
Compensation:
Compensation is based on a production/per-job structure under the company's current rate system. Earnings vary depending on workload, completed jobs, and production level. Most technicians typically average approximately $24-$30 per hour equivalent, with higher earning potential available through increased production and completed services. Typical weekly earnings commonly range between $1,500 and $2,000 based on production and hours worked. All compensation complies with applicable federal and state minimum wage and overtime laws. What We're Looking For Comfortable working with installation tools, ladders, handheld devices, and other equipment used in daily field operations. Strong communication skills with the ability to provide professional customer service and represent the company positively. Ability to troubleshoot problems, stay organized, and manage multiple assignments while working independently. Valid driver's license with a safe driving history and the ability to travel regularly between customer locations. Flexible availability to support business needs, including overtime, weekends, or holiday work when required. Additional Expectations Present a professional image and maintain respectful communication with customers and coworkers. Provide a suitable work vehicle, such as a truck, van, or SUV, to support daily field assignments. Meet all company onboarding requirements, including background screening and drug testing where applicable. Be responsible for maintaining the tools required to perform installations, repairs, and service work. Work safely, protect customer property, and comply with company policies throughout every assignment.
