Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and certified Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a variety of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment. This role involves working on heavy trucks, diesel engines, and related mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and safety. The successful applicant will have a strong background in vehicle maintenance, diesel engine repair, and heavy equipment mechanics, with a focus on automotive electrical systems and mechanical systems repair. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel vehicles and heavy equipment to ensure safety and reliability. Diagnose issues related to diesel engines, vehicle systems, and mechanical components using appropriate tools and techniques. Repair or replace faulty parts within diesel engines, automotive electrical systems, and mechanical systems. Conduct repairs on heavy trucks, including engine overhauls, transmission repairs, brake systems, and suspension components. Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts used for each vehicle or piece of equipment. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems efficiently. Follow safety protocols and industry standards to maintain a safe working environment. Experience Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Mechanic with a focus on diesel engine repair. Certification as a Diesel Mechanic from an accredited program or institution is required. Hands-on experience working with vehicle maintenance, heavy truck repair, and equipment maintenance is essential. Knowledge of automotive electrical systems and mechanical systems repair is highly desirable. Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools effectively. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues accurately and efficiently.
