Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Diesel Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment. In this role, you will leverage your mechanical expertise to diagnose, service, and repair a wide range of industrial and heavy machinery, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Your skills will keep our fleet running smoothly, supporting operations across construction, agriculture, transportation, and industrial sectors. We are committed to providing a paid position with pay up to $35.00 per hour & Medical, Dental and Vison insurance at very low cost after 90 days. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, suspension systems, and electrical components using OEM specifications and schematics. Perform Annual Inspections Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment such as loaders, forklifts, and tractors, to ensure reliability and safety. Fabricate parts or modify equipment using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific operational needs. Troubleshoot mechanical issues related to alignments, tire service, brake systems, HVAC systems, and powertrain components with precision. Operate heavy equipment safely during repair procedures or testing phases while adhering to safety protocols. Perform Daily truck safety inspections, Repairs and inspection reports, repair logs, and maintenance schedules to ensure compliance with industry standards. Collaborate with team members to complete complex assembly or disassembly tasks and support ongoing equipment repair projects. Requirements Proven mechanic experience with a focus on diesel engines and heavy equipment repair; dealership experience is highly preferred. Computer Diagnostic Experience - REQUIRED Strong knowledge of schematics reading, electrical systems, hydraulics, transmissions, and air brake systems. Hands-on proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and other fabrication tools. Ability to lift heavy components safely during tire service or equipment repairs; physical strength required for heavy lifting tasks. Preventative Maintenance Tire and brake replacement Hydraulic hose replacement Basic welding and fabrication Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong mechanical knowledge across farm machinery and industrial equipment. Valid certifications in vehicle maintenance or service technician roles are advantageous; relevant licenses for heavy equipment operation are a plus.
