The Role We need an experienced Diesel Mechanic to keep our tow trucks running. You'll perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on our diesel fleet — engines, brakes, electrical, and the hydraulic systems that power our wreckers and carriers. Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance and BIT/DOT inspections on diesel trucks Diagnose and repair diesel engines (Cummins, International, Hino, etc.), including emissions/aftertreatment systems (DPF, DEF) Repair air brake systems, suspensions, drivetrains, and electrical systems Service and repair hydraulic systems on wreckers and rollback carriers (winches, booms, wheel lifts, bed controls) Use diagnostic software/scan tools to troubleshoot fault codes Document all work performed and parts used Maintain a clean, safe shop environment Requirements 3+ years of diesel mechanic experience (medium/heavy-duty trucks) Experience with air brakes, hydraulics, and 12V electrical systems Own basic hand tools Valid California driver's license; Class A or B with air brake endorsement a plus (test drives) Tow truck / wrecker equipment experience a strong plus Bilingual English/Spanish a plus Tipo de puesto: Tiempo completo
