Bloomington, CA Schedule:
Full-time, Monday through Friday, day shift Are you mechanically skilled and ready for the next step in your career? Sugar Creek Transportation is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our service department. You will diagnose and repair semi-tractors, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot electrical and air-conditioning systems, and help keep our fleet safe and operating properly. We are looking for someone with strong problem-solving skills, a dependable work ethic, good communication skills, and their own tools. Responsibilities Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues on semi-tractors Use computer diagnostic equipment to identify fault codes and mechanical problems Perform preventive maintenance services and minor repairs on our mostly Detroit engine fleet Repair or replace worn and damaged parts, including brakes, engines, transmissions, and cooling-system components Troubleshoot air-conditioning and vehicle electrical systems Inspect and test-drive vehicles to determine needed repairs Perform oil changes, fluid services, brake replacements, tire rotations, and other routine maintenance Complete minor structural repairs when needed Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, parts, and service history Work with managers and other mechanics to complete repairs efficiently Follow all safety procedures Maintain a clean and organized work area Stay current with new technology and diesel-repair practices Qualifications Previous professional diesel mechanic experience required High school diploma or GED required Valid driver's license required Must have your own tools Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Experience using computer diagnostic equipment Knowledge of electrical, air-conditioning, and mechanical systems Strong manual dexterity and ability to use repair-shop equipment Dependable attendance, communication skills, and work ethic Trade-school education or ASE certification is a plus About Sugar Creek Transportation Sugar Creek Transportation is based in Southern California and has served the transportation industry since 2014.
