In this role, you will have hands-on experience in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, ensuring that all vehicles are in optimal working condition. Your expertise will ensure that all vehicles operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. Responsibilities Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, vehicles, and equipment. Conduct routine maintenance on diesel-powered vehicles, including oil changes, brake inspections, tire checks, and fluid replacements. Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems to ensure proper operation. Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations. Maintain accurate records of all services performed, including repairs and inspections. Assist with emergency breakdowns and mobile repairs when necessary. Collaborate with other mechanics and team members to complete tasks in a timely and eAicient manner. Keep tools, equipment, and work areas organized and clean. Adhere to company policies and procedures related to maintenance and repair practices. Run parts errands and retrieve necessary components from vendors or suppliers. Assist with general cleaning and upkeep during downtime, ensuring a tidy and safe working environment. Perform general oAice or building tasks as needed, such as organizing supplies or assisting with inventory management. Qualifications Knowledge of diesel engines, powertrains, electrical systems, hydraulics, and air brake systems. Ability to read and understand technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Valid California driver's license. Must provide own hand tools (specialty tools provided). High school diploma or equivalent; ASE certification or equivalent preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds). Ability to work in various weather conditions, including outdoor work.
