EXPERIMENTAL TEST PILOT - CAMARILLO, CA
As a Test Pilot within Skyryse Operations, you are the bridge between cutting-edge engineering and real-world flight. You'll pair strong aviation fundamentals with sharp risk awareness and the communication skills required to translate complex flight scenarios into actionable insight.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Execute experimental flight tests in a rotorcraft helicopter that directly shape the future of aviation.
Partner with Flight Test Engineers to translate high-level requirements into executable test strategies, authoring test plans, cards, and procedures that move programs forward quickly and safely.
Develop and maintain flight manuals, operations, checklists and procedures.
Lead and/or participate in safety of flight and flight readiness review boards.
Operate with regulatory rigor and startup velocity, completing documentation that meets FAA standards while enabling rapid iteration.
Maintain elite proficiency across multiple aircraft platforms, ensuring readiness to support diverse test campaigns as programs evolve.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1,000+ hours of Pilot in Command flight time in Rotorcraft
Bachelor's or advanced degree in Aerospace Engineering or other engineering discipline
FAA Class II Medical
Team player with excellent communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate of Navy Test Pilot School, Empire Test Pilot School, or equivalent high-level formal course, or possess 5+ years of direct flight-test experience
Three years of test pilot experience on developmental flight test programs
Rotorcraft-Helicopter commercial pilot license
