In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of diesel-powered equipment and vehicles. Your expertise will ensure that all machinery operates efficiently, safely, and reliably across various industries including construction, agriculture, and transportation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with heavy-duty equipment, utilize advanced diagnostics, and contribute to the seamless operation of our fleet and machinery. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, air brake systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems using schematics and specialized tools. Conduct repairs and maintenance Troubleshoot equipment issues through electrical diagnostics, automotive diagnostics, and mechanical troubleshooting techniques. Inspect and service tires, brakes, suspensions, alignments, HVAC systems, and power tools to ensure optimal performance. Utilize OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) manuals and schematics for precise repairs and part replacements. Maintain detailed records of all repairs performed and ensure compliance with safety standards during all maintenance activities. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, suspension systems, and electrical components. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic software. Ability to read schematics accurately for electrical wiring diagrams and mechanical layouts. Excellent troubleshooting skills for equipment repair issues Knowledge of HVAC systems related to heavy equipment is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Capable of performing heavy lifting safely while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
