Diesel Lube Technician Central Valley Auto Transport Inc - 5.0 Strathmore, CA Job Details Full-time From $22 an hour 2 days ago Benefits Health insurance 401(k) 401(k) matching Life insurance Qualifications Oil change Outdoor work experience Driver's License Power tools Hand tools Full Job Description We are seeking a dependable and motivated Lube Technician to join our fleet maintenance team. This position will primarily perform routine preventive maintenance and basic repairs on a fleet of 90+ car haulers.
Starting pay:
$22.00 per hour Responsibilities Perform oil changes and routine lubrication services on trucks and equipment. Replace oil, fuel, air, and other filters as required. Check and top off fluids, including coolant, transmission fluid, power steering fluid, and windshield washer fluid. Inspect vehicles during service for leaks, worn components, or other maintenance concerns. Perform basic brake inspections and simple brake repairs, including replacing brake components as needed. Inspect tires, lights, belts, hoses, and other basic vehicle components. Assist with preventive maintenance inspections and scheduled fleet services. Grease fittings and lubricate chassis and other components according to maintenance schedules. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Properly use shop equipment, hand tools, and power tools. Complete service records and work orders accurately. Report additional repair needs or safety concerns to the mechanic or shop supervisor. Follow all company safety procedures and shop policies. Qualifications Previous automotive, diesel, truck, or fleet maintenance experience preferred. Experience performing oil changes, lubrication services, and basic vehicle maintenance. Basic knowledge of truck brake systems and brake repair preferred. Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, jacks, and other shop equipment. Ability to follow maintenance procedures and instructions. Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience servicing diesel trucks, heavy-duty trucks, trailers, or fleet equipment. Experience performing preventive maintenance on commercial vehicles. Experience with basic brake repairs. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move heavy parts, tools, and equipment. Ability to stand, bend, kneel, crawl, and work underneath vehicles for extended periods. Ability to work in a shop environment and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to safely perform physically demanding maintenance work.
