Job Description

Allstate Sweeping Inc. is seeking to hire an experienced & dependable Diesel Mechanic to join our team. We are seeking a motivated individual who can help diagnose, repair & maintain our fleet of Street Sweeping trucks. We would love to add someone seeking a long-term position where their skills & experience are valued in our small family-owned company.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose, repair, and maintain street sweepers. Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, air, and mechanical systems. Perform preventative maintenance and inspections. Diagnose issues and determine necessary repairs on various components. Complete DOT and brake inspections. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Work effectively with fellow mechanics, office staff & drivers. Be available for occasional emergency after hours calls (2-hour minimum paid). Schedule is Monday through Friday with occasionally needed weekend work.
Requirements:
Minimum 2+ years of experience as a heavy equipment diesel mechanic preferred. Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and air systems. Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues independently. Must have own tools. Must be self-motivated, dependable, and organized. Must be honest and professional. Qualified to perform DOT and brake inspections. CDL preferred, but not required.
