Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) training available. Includes John Deere, Volvo, Perkins, and Kubota. Rocky Mountain Powertrain (RMPT) is an independent Heavy Equipment Repair facility specializing in off-highway equipment repair and component overhauls, including work in the construction, rental, mining, rail, agriculture, and power generation industries. To learn more, please visit us at www.rmpowertrain.com. RMPT is looking for an experienced Field Service Diesel Technician at our Brighton, CO location. In this position, you will support customers by performing maintenance, diagnostic, and repair operations on diesel power generation units. Option of 5x8 or 4x10 hour days. $28/hour and up. Company truck you get to take home! The Field Service Diesel Technician will: Provide excellent customer service. Manage all aspects of critical power systems installation, start-up, and commissioning. Perform diagnostic and repair procedures on all systems including PLCs, AC/DC, ATS, and switch gears. Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance and loadbanking on electric power generation equipment, including gas and diesel engines, generators, and transfer switches. Coordinate with installing electrical contractors. The Field Service Diesel Technician needs: 5+ years of experience with diesel power generation or diesel heavy equipment. AAS Electrical Power Generator Technician certification or graduation from a technical school. Computer literacy. Familiarity with diagnostic software. Self-directed mindset. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Commitment to excellent customer service. Electrical Generating Systems Association (EGSA) certification a plus.
