Five Star Fire is in need of a qualified service technician to work on Emergency Vehicles on site and at our facility. Roles and responsibilities but not limited too Inspect, repairs, and replaces components as required. Items such as engines, fuel, air, electrical, and cooling and HVAC systems components. Performs repairs and servicing of equipment components I.E light towers, air and electric cord reels, eject (air and electric) and auxiliary charging systems. Repairs not limited to pumps and related items for, Waterous, Hale, Darley, Akron, Elkhart. Electrical systems, foam systems, generators and 12V/110v/220v lighting and electrical systems Troubleshoot, repair, and Test fire apparatus pumps in accordance with NFPA testing standards; testing all pumps following repair before returning to service Thoroughly understand and Complete preventive maintenance inspections, servicing, and correcting discrepancies according to manufacturer guidelines, maintenance policies, directives, and advisories Completes work order documents including descriptive outlines, noting time, parts, and supplies used. Verifies working order of equipment after servicing is complete with a desire to ensure 0% comeback rates.
