LEAD DIESEL
Fleet MECHANIC- Full Time
CAVCOMM, LLC
is a full service telecommunications cable installation company specializing in Fiber Optics with over 30 years of combined experience capable of installation, termination, and testing fiber optic, copper and coaxial cables for both ISP and OSP applications. The successful candidate will have experience with Diesel/Gas engine fundamentals, batteries and starting systems, ignition and computer systems, heavy vehicle hydraulics, preventative maintenance/inspection, and truck steering systems. Must also have knowledge of fuel systems, hydraulics, diagnostics, and welding.
    JOB DUTIES
    - Plan work procedures, using technical charts and manuals
    • Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, transmissions, engines, and other parts of vehicles
    • Follow checklists to ensure that all critical parts are examined
    • Read and interpret diagnostic test results to identify mechanical problems
    • Repair or replace malfunctioning components, parts, and other mechanical or electrical equipment
    • Perform basic care and maintenance, including changing oil, checking fluid levels, and rotating tires
    • Test-drive vehicles to ensure that they run smoothly
    Qualifications:
    • High School diploma
    • Utility and/or Construction Background - Pay Rate may depend on level of education and experience
    • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) preferred
    • Valid Drivers License
    • CDL Preferred
    • THREE to FIVE Years' Gas/Diesel TRUCK Mechanic experience
    REQUIRED
    • Great oral and written skills
    • Detail oriented
    • Dexterity
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
