Winding Brook Turf Farm is seeking an experienced Farm Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of hands-on experience maintaining and repairing Class 4 to Class 8 diesel trucks, & trailers, tractors, mowers, construction equipment, and a wide variety of agricultural and farm equipment. This is a hands-on position for a dependable, skilled mechanic who can diagnose problems, perform repairs, and keep equipment operating safely and efficiently during the busy farming season. Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered farm equipment and vehicles. Service and repair farm tractors, Class 4 to Class 8 diesel trucks, mowers, loaders, construction equipment, and agricultural equipment. Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, air conditioning, and fuel systems. Perform preventative maintenance, oil changes, inspections, and routine servicing. Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems using appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment. Repair and maintain brakes, steering, suspension, PTO systems, hydraulics, and other equipment components. Perform welding, fabrication, and general equipment repairs when needed. Maintain accurate service and repair records. Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns, particularly during planting and harvest. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop and work area. Follow all applicable safety procedures and manufacturer recommendations. Help keep the farm's equipment fleet reliable and ready for daily operation. Qualifications 10+ years of professional diesel mechanic experience preferred. Strong hands-on experience working with diesel trucks, tractors, mowers, construction equipment, and farm equipment. Excellent knowledge of diesel engines and agricultural machinery. Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, air-conditioning, and fuel-system problems. Experience with preventative maintenance and equipment inspections. Heavy-duty brake certification preferred, or ability to obtain certification. Ability to work independently and diagnose problems with minimal supervision. Welding and fabrication experience is a plus. Valid driver's license required. CDL is a plus. Must have your own basic mechanic hand tools. Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail. Ability to work additional hours during busy planting and harvest periods.

From $90,000.00 per year
