Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle maintenance and automotive repair, with specific experience in diesel engines. This role is crucial for ensuring the reliability and performance of our fleet, as well as providing excellent customer service to our clients. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and related systems. Diagnose mechanical issues using specialized tools and equipment. Conduct inspections on vehicles to ensure compliance with safety standards. Repair or replace faulty components, including air brakes, tires, and suspension systems. Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs. Operate forklifts and other industrial equipment as necessary for repairs. Utilize welding skills for fabrication or repair tasks when needed. Requirements Proven experience in diesel mechanics or automotive repair, with a focus on heavy-duty vehicles. Proficiency in working with air brake systems, tire service, and suspension components. Familiarity with industrial equipment maintenance and repair practices. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients. Certification or training in diesel mechanics is preferred but not mandatory. Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is a plus.
