Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of diesel-powered equipment and vehicles, including heavy machinery, construction equipment, and fleet trucks. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, hydraulics, and electrical systems using OEM schematics and hand tools. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, air brake adjustments, alignments, and HVAC system checks to keep equipment running smoothly. Troubleshoot complex issues related to heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and construction machinery. Fabricate parts or modify existing components as needed to meet specific operational requirements using welding and fabrication techniques. Inspect and service construction machinery and farm equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Use electrical diagnostics tools to identify faults in electrical systems and perform necessary repairs or replacements efficiently. Maintain detailed records of all repairs, maintenance activities, and inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and OEM standards. Requirements Proven experience working as a Diesel Mechanic with dealership or heavy equipment service background preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and electrical diagnostics. Hands-on experience with fabrication, welding, soldering, and the use of power tools for equipment repair. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other construction machinery. Ability to read schematics accurately and troubleshoot electrical systems effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on equipment troubleshooting and preventive maintenance. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and operate various hand tools safely; willingness to work in demanding environments. Valid certifications in diesel engine repair, air brake systems, HVAC systems or related fields are highly desirable.
