Diesel Mechanic-Marine Full-Time Job Duties:
The qualified candidate will have a minimum of 1 year marine service experience- up to 3 years would be preferred. Need a vocational certification in a diesel mechanic related field Need a valid class E driver's license. Perform installation, maintenance, repair and replacement of major brand diesel engine systems in yachts, powerboats and sailboats. Troubleshot engine performance problems for customers, provide recommendations for problem resolution: provide parts list to the Service and Parts manager. Perform routine and annual maintenance of customer boat engines and supporting systems. Adaptability on dealer line special tooling and online training. (Vodia, Volvo and Cummins online training courses.) The ability to travel for dealer line training. Some heavy lifting, climbing, carrying required in performance of job. Have the necessary tools to perform the jobs required. Must have strong communication skills. Motivated and fast paced personality with serious Work Ethic. Proficient computer skills (Windows, Explorer, Office and Dockmaster a bonus) Excellent organizational skills. The qualified candidate will work well unsupervised in the field and make good decisions.

Drug Testing/Screening Background Checks Reference Checks Motor Vehicle Record Check The employer will test in: Basic Diesel CBT, understanding propellers and using a micrometer. Will provide study guide .
