Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty equipment, including triaxle and End Dumps, and heavy equipment. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment operates efficiently, safely, and reliably, supporting our operations across various sectors. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using schematics, automotive electrical systems, and mechanical knowledge to identify issues accurately. Repair and maintain diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brakes, suspensions, shocks & struts, and other mechanical systems on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery. Conduct vehicle inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques for assembly, equipment repair, and fabrication tasks. Service tires and perform wheel alignments; handle heavy lifting safely during repairs or component replacements. Troubleshoot electrical systems and perform automotive electrical system repairs on various vehicle types including tractor-trailers. Maintain detailed service records and documentation for all repairs performed; adhere to safety protocols at all times. Experience Proven dealership or heavy equipment mechanic experience with a strong background in diesel engine repair and vehicle systems maintenance. Hands-on experience working with heavy trucks, industrial equipment, agricultural machinery, or construction vehicles is highly preferred. Familiarity with schematics reading, hydraulic systems troubleshooting, HVAC systems servicing, and welding techniques is advantageous. Knowledge of automotive diagnostics software and electrical system repair methods is essential. Ability to operate heavy equipment such as excavators or cranes is a plus; experience with forklift operation is desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
