Job Description
Our company is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to join our fleet. This role focuses on diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues on diesel engines and heavy equipment and from time to time gas engines in our fleet of construction equipment. In addition to making repairs, you will also be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, brake jobs, electrical repairs, and other systems. Applicants need a valid driver's license and must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening. Diesel Mechanic Duties and Responsibilities Diagnose and repair issues in diesel engines Diagnose and repair issues with hydraulics, brakes, transmission, steering, and other systems Perform preventative maintenance Perform welding or fabrication tasks on trailers and other equipment as necessary Maintain a clean and safe workplace Service truck will be provided, you will be responsible to provide your own general tools. Work may be performed in the construction field Diesel Mechanic Requirements and Qualifications High school diploma or GED certificate (preferred) Valid driver's license (CDL License a plus) Diesel technician or mechanic degree a plus Experience with small diesel engine repair Some welding experience required Mechanical skills Basic computer skills Basic math skills
