Job Description
Asphalt Paving Systems is looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic / Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in a full-time, shop-based position. If you have strong mechanical skills, enjoy diagnosing and repairing diesel-powered equipment, and take pride in keeping trucks and heavy equipment operating safely and reliably, we want to hear from you! This is a shop position. You'll work alongside an experienced team maintaining and repairing our fleet of medium- and heavy-duty trucks, diesel equipment, and construction machinery. What You'll Do Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain diesel engines and heavy equipment Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections Repair and maintain medium- and heavy-duty trucks Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and other equipment-related issues Perform engine, brake, suspension, drivetrain, and other mechanical repairs Identify equipment problems and determine the appropriate repairs Help keep equipment safe, reliable, and ready for daily operations Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturer specifications Work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of quality What We're Looking For Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience working on diesel engines and medium/heavy-duty trucks Heavy equipment or construction equipment repair experience strongly preferred Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Ability to identify mechanical problems and complete repairs independently Must have your own mechanic tools Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment Dependable, hardworking, and committed to quality workmanship Ability to work overtime as needed What We Offer Competitive pay Overtime opportunities Full-time, year-round work Health insurance available Paid major holidays Stable work with an established asphalt and construction company Opportunity to work on a variety of diesel trucks and heavy equipment Immediate opening — we're looking to hire now!
