BJ Truck Services of GA is hiring experienced Diesel Mechanics / Heavy-Duty Truck Technicians to join our growing repair shop in Alpharetta. We work primarily on 18-wheelers, tractor-trailers, box trucks, and other commercial diesel vehicles . We are looking for dependable mechanics who can diagnose problems, complete repairs efficiently, and properly document the work performed. We have steady work and are looking for mechanics who want consistent, full-time hours. Responsibilities Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and diesel engine problems Perform repairs and maintenance on 18-wheelers and commercial trucks Repair and replace brakes, suspension, air systems, electrical components, cooling systems, and other truck components Perform preventative maintenance and DOT-related repairs Troubleshoot check-engine lights and other diagnostic issues Inspect trucks and identify additional repairs that may be needed Complete repairs accurately and efficiently Keep work areas and tools organized Document all work completed, parts used, and additional repairs needed Communicate with the office regarding repair status and parts needed Complete daily work logs for trucks worked on Qualifications Previous diesel mechanic or heavy-duty truck repair experience preferred Experience working on 18-wheelers, tractor-trailers, semi-trucks, or commercial diesel vehicles Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills Knowledge of air brakes, suspension, electrical systems, and diesel engines Ability to use diagnostic equipment and shop tools Ability to work independently and as part of a team Dependable and punctual Must take pride in completing quality work Valid driver's license preferred CDL is a plus but not required Experience We are open to mechanics with different experience levels. Pay will depend on experience, skill level, and ability to independently diagnose and repair commercial trucks. Experienced diesel technicians are strongly encouraged to apply.
